Our people make a difference in the communities where we work—one highway at a time!

In early April, partners for the 69Express project in Kansas teamed up for highway cleanup along U.S. 69 near the project limits.

Volunteers from US69 Express Constructors (Ames Construction and Emery Sapp & Sons joint venture), Kansas Department of Transportation, project consultant HNTB, and project subcontractors all joined in.

The volunteers had a good time together while trimming overgrown brush, applying weed control, and filling more than 20 bags of trash.

The 69Express Design-Build project is reconstructing and widening six miles of U.S. 69 to accommodate the state’s first-ever express lanes, with the goal of reducing congestion on one of Kansas’ busiest highways.
