CIVIL CARPENTER positions are immediately available out our American Falls, Idaho project. A Civil Carpenter will construct civil formwork for placement of concrete. Seeking skilled carpenters who are highly organized, great work ethic, detail oriented and looking to excel in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble column or wall formwork, to include: Gang Forms, Stick Build, Slip Forms and others
  • Erects temporary handrails and associated safety related items, to include: structures platforms of sawing, stripping, nailing, burning, measuring, tightening/loosening bolts, and drilling
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor at projects and operate hand and power tools of all types
  • Nail cleats (brace) across boards to construct concrete-supporting forms
  • Braces forms in place with timbers, tie rods, and anchor bolts for use in building concrete piers, footings and walls

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

Project Quality Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER position is available to join the Renewable Energy Division, located at our project in Pike County, Indiana. This position will be involved in leading Solar Utility-sized construction quality initiatives using quality engineering tools, product inspections, and leading quality teams. Report out project quality updates, train staff on quality inspection process and oversee electrical aspects of the quality program. Responsibilities

The Quality Manager will be responsible for assuring the quality of processes and procedures to assure compliance with contracts, project specifications and Ames standards in the work that we build. Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate and implement the Project Quality Management Plan
  • Oversee project specific quality plans, procedures, and audit the quality of work performed
  • Manage identification and execution of corrective actions; in response to product and process non-conformances

We have immediate hiring opportunities for qualified Finish Blade Operators and D6 Dozer Operators at projects in the Carlin and Reno, Nevada. Candidates must be experienced with finishing grade on large scale civil and highway projects and use of GPS equipment.

Responsibilities

  • 5 years working experience on a finish blade equipment in all phases of operations, during normal conditions, night conditions, adverse weather and emergency situations; including hand and feet controls.

The Senior Project Scheduler will generate detailed schedules so that the Superintendents and Project Managers can sufficiently and efficiently track and plan the projects. This position will obtain input from project team members, subcontractors, suppliers and client to support the development of a baseline schedule, and subsequently to update schedule progress and forecasting. Evaluate schedule alternatives and construction practices to support project changes.

The Senior Project Scheduler will provide Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, Schedule Impact Analysis, updating and monitoring project schedules and other project reporting procedures. This role will also be essential in developing scheduling standards tools and reporting. AUTOCAD TECHNICIAN position is available at our Scottsdale, AZ office. This position will assist with surveying disciplines at projects throughout Arizona and surrounding states. The Technician will provide assistance with preparing computer-generated survey drawings/models, according to established standards and procedures, from field collected data on a variety of large construction projects.

CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT position is available out of our Western Region. This position is located out of Carlin, NV office but may cover projects in the surrounding states and include short/long term travel. Responsibilities include leading an effective disciplined team, delegate responsibilities and ensure a production of high-quality work. Monitor job schedule, track and coordinate work with subcontractors, adhere to budgetary guidelines and ensure cost control measures are adhered to.

Coordinate Projects

Project sites are located across the U.S. This position will support the daily tasks within the pre-construction team, but include an emphasis on solar PV modeling and design. We’re seeking a skilled professional in renewable energy who is a self-starter, highly organized, detail oriented and looking to grow within in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting with the pre-construction stage of renewable energy construction projects.
  • Support the Project Management team as required during the construction phase.
  • Builds relationships with designers, vendors, suppliers, customers and other partners to resolve issues during design and/or pre-bid phases.
  • Establish PV basis of design including but not limited to; Capex equipment optimization, string sizing, ground coverage ratio, power factor requirements, inverter loading ratio, cable sizing, etc.
  • Review bid drawings, specifications and all other construction related documents and communicate issues, accuracy of information, and potential risks.
  • Regularly participate in design meetings and contribute to the development of scope-of-work documents.
  • Create preliminary solar design packages, including 1-line diagrams, array layouts, fence layout, grading plans and road layout. (up to 30% completion)
  • Utilize PVSyst software in support of performance modeling.

Project sites are located across the U.S. This position will manager provide coordination, planning, and supervision to the Assistant Electrical Superintendents, Foremen, and craft personnel on renewable energy projects. Seeking a skilled professional in renewable energy who is highly organized, detail oriented individual and looking to excel in a dynastic environment.

The Electrical Superintendent will be assigned to project sites across the U.S. This position will provide coordination, planning, and supervision to the Assistant Electrical Superintendents, Foremen, and craft personnel. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to coordinating projects within the electrical scope of the renewable energy project and overseeing electrical craft personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate Projects -

  • Project coordination within the civil, mechanical and electrical scope of the solar project
  • Obtain high-quality installation of the project, including pile installation, tracker and racking installation and module installation
  • Provide drawing, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the pre-construction team, verifying quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship conforms to specifications and updates of each contract document
  • Oversee the self-perform installation of all low and medium voltage systems incorporated on a solar project.
  • Work with project team in development of project schedules, updates, and creation of a 3 week look-ahead
  • Mange quality control of work teams, including self-performed work guaranteeing the necessary resources and support is available
  • Participate in project meetings, providing liaison between Field Engineers and craft personnel ensuring electrical components of each project comply with drawings and specifications
  • Aid in the development of Standard Work
  • Lead project safety culture on project

Oversight of Electrical Craft Personnel -

  • Review and monitor procurement of resources, methods, staffing, look-ahead schedules and coordination with other site activities
  • Collaborate with engineering staff ensuring plans, specifications, submittals and RFIs are transmitted accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coach, mentor and train field personnel, Foremen, and Assistant Superintendents
