This Ames project consists of constructing the first cable-stayed pedestrian bridge in Minnesota. It is Phase Four of the 29th Street Midtown Greenway Pedestrian Trail project. The Ames project consists of building the cable-stayed bridge over Hiawatha Avenue with approach grading. The bridge has concrete abutments, concrete piers, and a concrete slab span deck. The total bridge length is 687 feet and varies in width from 18 feet to 30 feet.
