Synopsis of Work:

This project included excavation, backfill and structural concrete foundations for a new gold and copper ore concentrator. The work included foundations for a primary crusher, reclaim tunnel, pebble crusher, a SAG mill, two ball mills, tank foundations, building footings, grade beams, piers, conveyor foundations, and floor slabs. The completed project included 430 linear feet of a 16-foot diameter multi-plate tunnel, and 30,000 cubic yards of structural concrete, most of which was placed as “cold-weather” concrete. Under a separate contract Ames installed underground HDPE and carbon steel utility piping (15,200 linear feet of 2” to 26”-diameter HDPE pipe, 4,100 linear feet of 18” and 20”-diameter carbon steel pipe.)
