This contract is the first phase in a two-phase project to complete the rehabilitation of an existing flood control dam. The work includes the construction of a soil-cement embankment structure approximately 2,900 feet long, a soil-cement core and construction of four concrete spillway structures.
The second phase includes the construction of two inlet weir structures and 840 lf of box culverts. Scope includes 260,000 cubic yards of excavation and construction of a 200-foot wide by 5,050 linear foot 100-year flood channel. Also includes 8 riprap drop structures and 6,000 cubic yards of soil cement for earthen bank protection. The project is requiring 4,500 cubic yards of concrete.
